Mop & Bkt policies
Privacy Policy
Version 1.0 | MOPBKT-PRIV-1.0 | Effective October 29, 2026
Article 1. Purpose and Scope
Mop & Bkt, LLC ("Mop & Bkt," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates a Nevada-first marketplace for residential cleaning bookings between homeowners and independent Homecare Specialists. This Privacy Policy describes information handled through the website, mobile application, support channels, and related services (the "Platform").
This policy explains our practices; merely viewing it does not record consent to separate Terms of Service or optional data uses.
Article 2. Eligibility and Nevada-Only Platform
The Platform is intended only for individuals who are at least twenty-one (21) years old. We do not knowingly permit persons under 21 to use the Platform in connection with service bookings, cleaner onboarding, or account creation.
The Platform is designed for services performed in Nevada only. We may collect and use address, account, and related location information to verify that bookings and service activity fall within our permitted Nevada service area.
Article 3. Categories of Information We Collect
We collect account and contact information you provide, such as name, email address, phone number, credentials, profile photograph, and account role.
When someone submits a partnership inquiry through our website, we collect their name, email address, partnership category, optional organization, website or social profile, and message. We also record their contact consent, submission timestamp, and application identifier.
For bookings, we collect service address and location information, property details, selected service tier and home condition, scheduling preferences, access instructions, and optional property photographs when a feature permits them.
For Homecare Specialists, we may collect biography, experience, supplies, service radius, availability, identity and age information, background-screening status and related provider evidence, insurance documents and review status, and connected-account or payout-readiness status when those programs are enabled.
We collect in-app conversation content and metadata, reviews, issue reports, support requests, and related records as features are used.
We collect booking and transaction records, including prices, payment and refund status, assignment, Job state, and timestamps. We may also collect device, browser, IP address, app version, and interaction data needed for security and operation.
Article 4. Payment Information
When payment features are enabled, Stripe processes customer card information and connected-account information for eligible Specialists. Mop & Bkt does not store full card numbers in its own application database. We may receive limited payment data such as transaction identifiers, payment status, method type, last four digits where supplied, refunds, disputes, and payout status. Homeowner Checkout and Specialist payouts are separate processes.
Article 5. How We Use Information
We use information to create and secure accounts, verify age and Nevada eligibility, present bookings, coordinate services, support customers and Specialists, investigate complaints or safety reports, maintain records, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
We use partnership inquiries to receive and review potential applications, respond to applicants about their inquiry, maintain submission records, and notify Mop & Bkt personnel who handle partnership inquiries. Consent to be contacted about an inquiry does not by itself authorize unrelated promotional marketing.
If and when provider integrations are activated, information may also be used for background screening, insurance review, payment processing, connected-account onboarding, refunds, and payouts. A submitted status is not itself a provider approval.
Article 6. How We Disclose Information
We share booking details between the assigned Homeowner and Homecare Specialist only as needed to perform and support the service, subject to role-based access controls.
We store website partnership inquiries using Neon PostgreSQL database infrastructure. When email notifications are configured, we use Resend to send inquiry details to the Mop & Bkt inbox at hello@mopnbkt.com. Mop & Bkt personnel responsible for partnership applications may review the stored inquiry and notification. Sending a notification does not establish that an email was delivered or read.
We may share necessary information with providers that support hosting, email, mapping, communications, payment processing, screening, insurance review, analytics, and customer support when those services are in use. Provider integrations described here are not a statement that every integration is live.
We may disclose information when required by law, to investigate incidents or fraud, protect people or property, resolve disputes, or support a business transfer.
Article 7. Nevada Privacy Requests and No-Sale Statement
Mop & Bkt does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. A Nevada consumer who wishes to submit a verified request directing us not to make any sale of covered information under applicable Nevada law may contact us at hello@mopnbkt.com with the subject line "Nevada Privacy Request."
We may take commercially reasonable steps to verify the identity and authority of any person submitting a privacy request before responding.
Article 8. Cookies, SDKs, and Similar Technologies
The website or app may use cookies, software development kits, logs, and similar technologies for sign-in, security, preferences, performance, and measurement. We will describe material changes to these practices in an updated policy.
Article 9. Account Management and Deletion Requests
Users may request account deletion or make a privacy inquiry by contacting hello@mopnbkt.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" or through an in-app mechanism if available. We may verify the requester's identity first.
Some records may be retained as needed for transactions, taxes, fraud prevention, disputes, incidents, legal obligations, and enforcement. Deletion is subject to those requirements.
Article 10. Data Security and Retention
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including restricted access to sensitive account, payment, screening, insurance, support, and message data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
We retain information as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it when appropriate.
Article 11. Third-Party Services
The Platform may link to third-party services, including payment processors, app stores, email, hosting, mapping, screening, and other providers. Their independent practices are governed by their own policies. Describing a potential provider here does not mean the related feature is active in the Platform.
Article 12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Each published version will identify its version and effective date, and we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
Article 13. Contact Information
Questions about this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices may be sent to hello@mopnbkt.com.
